A few general notions:
• As with all types of Poker try to make the best possible hand.
• You can play just Poker, or you can simultaneously play the progressive game.
• If you think one of your cards is not good enough, you can change it. But there is a downside: for a poker or higher hand you get a lower payout, and you also get a lower progressive payout.
What’s your first move?
Place a minimum bet on the ANTE spot.
If you want to play the progressive game, hand another chip to the croupier. You will then be dealt 5 cards. After the croupier has turned over his upper card, you can check your cards.
And then what?
If you wish to change a card, lay it down and place a chip on it (same value as the ante). If you however want to continue without changing cards, place a bet worth 2 times the ante on the spot where it says BET.
On the table you will see the notice
Dealer only plays with ace/king or higher. This means that if the croupier does not hold an ace/king combination or higher, you are paid your bet on ante 1 to 1, no matter how high your hand is (This does not apply to the progressive game, as you can get this anyway). If however the croupier holds an ace/king (or a higher) hand, you have all the chances of winning at the Poker. Just make sure you have one of the winning hands and that your hand is higher than the croupier’s.
