When do I place this wager?
You can play standard Black Jack without placing the House Money wager, as this is in fact an optional wager. What is more, only player position holders can place the House Money wager. If you decide to place the House Money wager, you must do this along with the standard Black Jack wager.
Are there any special rules I need to know at this point:
Yes. You cannot remove your House Money wager once it has been placed. You cannot place the House Money wager once the Croupier has declared “No more bets” or signaled with his hand that the betting round is over.
How to win?
The House Money wager wins (the payouts* are listed in the right column) if your first two cards are:
Ace and King of the same suit (Aks) | Pays 9 to 1 |
Straight flush (SF) | Pays 4 to 1 |
Pair (Pa) | Pays 3 to 1 |
Straight (St) | Pays 1 to 1 |
*If your House Money wager wins, you need to decide (this decision cannot be withdrawn later) what to do with the proceeds (winnings and original bet):
- You may collect the proceeds.
- You may add them to your standard Black Jack wager (the added amount must be a multiple of your House Money wager). In fact, after all the House Money wagers have been paid, you continue to play standard Black Jack.
Do not touch the House Money wager!
This is in fact good news for you, because the Croupier will move and place your wagers instead of you. Just tell the Coupier what you would like to do.
